Cost: free (free downtown parking)
This is the one event for you and your baby’s every need. Expectant and new parents of infants and toddlers up to age 2 are invited to the Healthy Baby Fair at the John S. Knight Convention Center in downtown Akron.

Insurance accepted: no (special payment arrangements available)
Training/certification: DONA trained, certified
Birth doula and postpartum doula, videotaping allowed, handles high-risk pregnancies, works with back-up midwives/doulas if not available, provides 24-hour coverage
Services: prenatal consultation, lactation assistance, light housework and grocery shopping/errands, care for other children

CCC is an egg-donor agency that recruits egg donors ages 21 to 30. Egg donors donate eggs to couples who otherwise cannot conceive due to various reasons, including age, premature ovarian failure, pour egg quality, miscarriage and disease. Many couples have realized their dreams of building a family by the generous gift of egg donation.

Neonatal ICU offered: no, but a special-care surgery is available for babies with complications expected to resolve rapidly
Postpartum classes: sibling celebration, Relatives in the Know (what to expect when visiting mother and baby)
Special programs: first-time and teen mother get a home visit, lactation consultation
Additional information: A complete renovation of the unit will be completed in June. Water births are now offered.
